  15. I've wondered if anyone else noticed that both Win95 and NT's
  16. RAS Dialup disable SUPRA 28.8 v.42bis compression (?).

  18. Look in \windows\info\mdmsupra.inf or
  19.         \winnt\system32\ras\modem.inf

  21. You would find that the for SUPRA 28.8/i 'compression_on=%C1'
  22. This in effect allows only MNP5 and not v.42bis during negotiation.

  24. I change mine to %C3 and saw my NT RAS dialup STATUS
  25. changed from Compression: NONE to v.42bis when dial in.
  26. Also noticed that, with v.42bis, the transfer rate increased above
  27. NT RAS software compression.
